Eat Your Heart Out Diet: Day 1

I decided to try a diet/cleanse system for the next 7 days! The basis of how it works is you eat foods that burn more calories than they add. Day 1: Fruit Day! You eat nothing but fruits and drink a lot of water! But stay away from bananas, because they have calories and days 1-3 are all about flushing your body of impurities and cleansing your system. The diet claims to help you lose 10+ lbs in 7 days. At first I was afraid this would be unhealthy, because losing that much weight dramatically can be unhealthy if done the wrong way. But the trick to this diet is that by eating the healthy foods in a certain order, it helps burn calories and flush your system so you are losing more waste and toxins than healthy body mass. I am also going to take short runs and brisk walks every day to couple with the food advantages. It's also recommended that when doing this diet you take a Vitamin B and C supplement to support a healthy immune system. The amazing thing about this diet?? You can literally "eat your heart out"! Because the food is healthy and good for you, and eating it in large amounts is better for you!

For today, Fruit Day, I stocked up on plenty of apples, berries, mangoes (high calorie burner!) and melons, which have the least calories and support healthy weight loss. I have been making smoothies of ice and mixed berries (no bananas!) with less than a 1/4 cup of Nonfat milk for texture. It's not exactly recommended that you add milk because milk isn't on the list for day 1 but in small amounts it's alright.

I am already feeling increased positive energy and healthier after the first half of day 1! I am looking forward to seeing how the rest of week goes. I will document each day as the go by. Tomorrow is vegetable day!
